Position Overview:

Legrand is excited to announce an opportunity for a Logistics Operator to become a part of the Data Center Power and Control Division Starline Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe transportation of materials between various facilities and vendor locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently load and unload materials for delivery.
  • Transport products to vendors and between company warehouses.
  • Assist in the packaging area during non-driving hours.
  • Package preassembled containers and insert items using appropriate materials.
  • Accurately pack customer orders and perform inventory reconciliation using company software.
  • Utilize computer systems regularly throughout the work shift.
  • Follow all company policies and operational guidelines.
  • Engage in cross-training to support various departments within the facility.
  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience in a shipping department for at least one year.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experience in operating delivery trucks; a CDL is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and reach trucks (company certification may be provided).
  • Strong oral comprehension and communication skills.
  • Capability to adhere to scheduled delivery routes.
  • Maintain and care for company vehicles and equipment.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Must pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work occasional mandatory overtime as required.

Working Environment:

  • This position may require exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and hearing protection, is necessary.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods is essential.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
