Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Engineer II to join our team at Gentex Corporation. This role plays a critical part in advancing the automotive market and driving innovation within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Advance team decision-making processes to drive continuous improvement while meeting customer requirements for quality and quantity.
  • Equipment Optimization: Ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment by monitoring and adjusting controls as needed.
Main Objectives
  • Continuous Flow: Monitor process and quality to ensure a smooth and efficient flow.
  • Error Reduction: Eliminate equipment downtime by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment adjustments.
  • Control Modifications: Make modifications to production equipment as needed to optimize performance.
  • New Product Implementation: Adapt new products to existing or new production equipment.
  • Team Development: Coordinate team member training on all related tasks.
  • Talent Management: Act as a team floater and maintain own certification and competence on all tasks required of the team.
  • Moderation and Leadership: Moderate ATP and continuous improvement meetings, and assign off-line tasks such as attendance, line schedule, data entry, supplies, etc.
  • Goal Achievement: Accountable for the team's achievement of goals concerning quality and productivity.
  • Product Development: Assist in the development and implementation of new products into mass production.
  • Equipment Upgrade: Provide input as needed when equipment is purchased or upgraded.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Moderation and Leadership: Moderate ATP and continuous improvement meetings.
  • Talent Management: Facilitate assignment of off-line tasks such as attendance, line schedule, data entry, supplies, etc.
  • Goal Achievement: Accountable for the team's achievement of goals concerning quality and productivity.
  • Product Development: Assist in the development and implementation of new products into mass production.
  • Equipment Upgrade: Provide input as needed when equipment is purchased or upgraded.
  • Compliance and Safety: Comply with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies, and safely perform all duties.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain high levels of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
Requirements
  • Education: 2-year electronic or related degree preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic PC skills preferred.
  • Adaptability: Ability to learn and perform all responsibilities of the team member.
  • Communication: Good communication skills (oral and written) to effectively communicate with team members.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and maneuver around equipment.
  • Culture Fit: Intense personal commitment to communicate company policy and develop a team culture.
