Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate interdisciplinary services related to behavioral and biomedical science.
  • Implement knowledge and techniques for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Perform psychosocial interventions within the scope of practice.
  • Conduct individual, family, or group interventions, such as counseling, testing, and education.
  • Develop intervention goals and resolve client functioning issues.
  • Engage in establishing, implementing, and evaluating treatment system goals and objectives.
  • Conduct interviews with clients and their families to establish case goals.
  • Assess clients to determine specific intervention techniques and monitor responses.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of treatments.
  • Evaluate cases and client progress from prescribed treatment plans.
  • Maintain necessary data records to satisfy federal, state, and local agency requirements.
  • Prepare social histories, admission/aftercare summaries, and court documents.
  • Serve on treatment and program development teams.
  • Attend training meetings, departmental meetings, and court hearings.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities and services for referrals and follow-up.
  • Possess knowledge of departmental regulations, policies, procedures, and governmental rules.
  • Demonstrate ability in counseling, client care, crisis intervention, and employee instruction.
  • Recognize unusual or threatening conditions and respond appropriately.
  • Apply social work theories, principles, and techniques to problem solving.
