Fleet Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at the City of Burlington, VT. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Inspect and repair heavy equipment, including trucks and plows
- Operate vehicles and equipment to determine functioning ability
- Design and fabricate tools and parts as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from an accredited vocational training program in automotive repair or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license with no suspensions for the past two years
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL license
