This role bridges the gap between field and office staff in a surveying subsidiary for a major residential construction firm. The successful candidate will perform checks and verification of plan and field data, comps for field crews, and production of cutsheets.
Key responsibilities include communication with field and office staff, other departments (engineering/planning), clients, and management. Strong AutoCAD skills are essential for this role, which is primarily office-based with the expectation to support the field when needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing field data
- Supporting survey crews
- Preparing land development stakeout files
- Scheduling field crews
- Assisting in proposal preparation (takeoffs/time estimates)
- Preparing survey worksheets for ALTA/boundaries
- Preparing commercial stakeout files
- Troubleshooting and minor design modifications
