Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced physician to provide high-quality patient-centered care in our fast-paced urgent care environment. As an Express Care Physician, you will be responsible for examining and treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and work-related health problems.
About the Role
This role involves conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses, developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans, and providing follow-up care. You will also be required to work closely with nursing staff, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments, including history taking and physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses, develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, and provide follow-up care.
- Emergency Response: Provide urgent medical care for non-life-threatening emergencies, perform minor procedures as needed, such as suturing, splinting, and wound care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care, consult with specialists when necessary, and make appropriate referrals.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient encounters, including medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care, in electronic health records (EHR) in a timely manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted medical license in NC or eligibility for licensure.
- Board Certification: Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar fast-paced clinical setting is highly desirable.
We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes malpractice insurance coverage, continuing medical education (CME) allowance, and opportunities for professional development.
