Nursing Manager OR FT Days Position Summary
At Abrazo Health Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Manager to join our team. As a Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides patient care according to designated standards and practices.
• Assists in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care.
• Establishes a mechanism to track customer service performance and takes corrective action to address any issues.
Management Responsibilities:
• Participates in the development of annual budgets that reflect appropriate expenditures for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Manages to budget; monitors variances between budgeted and actual expense reports and takes action to correct negative variances within appropriate timelines.
• Assists with Kronos/payroll to assure accurate data entry.
• Participates in the interview, selection, and orientation process for new team members in collaboration with nursing management, RN staff, and other team members.
Employee Management:
• Responsible for day-to-day staffing and making appropriate decisions based on patient needs and skill level of caregiver.
• Responsible for developing the staffing schedule and posting it within established timeframe guidelines.
• Guides staff in the advancement of their education and leadership skills, particularly team building, conflict resolution, and delegation.
Requirements:
• Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona. CPR required. ACLS as applicable by Facility/Department, PALS/NRP are required for certain clinical areas.
• Minimum of three years relevant clinical nursing experience. Two years management/supervisory experience preferred.
