Surgical Tech Lead FT Days Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Tech Lead to join our team at Tenet Health. As a Surgical Tech Lead, you will be responsible for training and mentoring staff, coordinating scheduling and efforts of Surgical Techs, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Coordinate scheduling and efforts of Surgical Techs to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, handling instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain a sterile field and prepare operating rooms for surgery
  • Participate in department performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Completion of formal education/training to obtain a Certification as a Surgical Tech and/or acquired Certification completion within 6 months
  • Two years of hospital surgical experience or formal training program
  • Knowledge and experience in operative procedures, equipment, and instrumentation
