Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist

We are seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to join our team at Optum.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your clinical expertise and experience in CDI program implementation to improve health outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level review of inpatient clinical records within 24-48 hours of admit to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify gaps in clinical documentation and develop targeted education strategies.
  • Leverage Optum CDI 3D Technology to drive data quality improvements and revenue integrity.
Requirements
  • 5+ years acute care hospital clinical RN experience or medical graduate with CDI experience and CDI certification.
  • 1+ years experience as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist.
  • Proficiency using a PC in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records.
