We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Great Lakes. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instrument counts throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons in providing hemostasis during surgery.
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or associate degree, or technical degree required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 months of hire date or job transfer date.
- CST Certification is preferred. Hospital/Surgery/OR experience is required.
