Job Overview

Terraphase Engineering Inc is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in our Woodinville, WA office. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for observing earthwork and foundation construction, conducting soil density tests, and preparing field reports and geotechnical analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site observations and gather field data to develop an understanding of soil conditions and construction-related geotechnical issues.
  • Perform soil density tests using a nuclear density gauge and prepare field reports.
  • Prepare geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, deep foundation design, and seismic evaluation.
  • Assist with gathering field data and field samples for related projects and coordinate samples for testing as needed.
  • May also be responsible for providing support to our geotechnical teams at other locations as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field.
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Professional.
  • Clean driving record and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, organizational, technical writing, and client service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nuclear density gauge training certification.
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training.
  • CPR and First Aid Training.
