Warriors Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimation Specialist to provide essential support in addressing complex national security challenges. Our organization prides itself on delivering innovative solutions and maintaining a collaborative environment that fosters excellence.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our Space and Intelligence Division, which offers engineering services and analytical support to various defense entities. Responsibilities will encompass systems engineering, cost analysis, and the development of strategies to meet critical national defense requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize parametric cost models to create and document cost estimates, including software estimations, for military budget planning.
- Prepare and present cost models and estimation outcomes to senior leadership.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments.
- Establish statistical correlations through data analysis and regression techniques.
- Evaluate Contract Data Requirement Lists for adherence to standards.
- Analyze contractor proposals for cost feasibility and appropriateness.
- Participate in Program Office meetings, cost analysis discussions, briefings, and Integrated Product Team (IPT) sessions.
Essential Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analysis, or Engineering; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- 6+ years of experience for mid-level positions, 12+ years for senior roles, specifically in DoD, Intelligence Community, or National Security Space Cost Estimating.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication of analytical results.
- Proficient analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting a program office at Space Systems Command (SSC).
- Background in Space/ground software and/or hardware.
- Certification as a Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCE/A) or Cost Professional (CCP).
- Familiarity with ACEIT and other cost estimating tools such as SEER and PRICE.
- Experience in Agile software development and rapid acquisition initiatives.
- Top Secret clearance is a plus.
