Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Liability Claims Representative to join our team at Travelers Insurance. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving General Liability related Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations of claims, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine liability and damages.
  • Evaluate claims and establish proper indemnity and expense reserves.
  • Negotiate disposition of claims with insureds and claimants or their representatives.
  • Develop and implement litigation plans, working with staff or panel counsel to ensure effective resolution of claims.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards and state-specific regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of one year of bodily injury liability claim handling experience or two years of general liability claim handling experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, and other stakeholders.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in claims handling and litigation, with a strong understanding of insurance contracts and principles of investigation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and quality results.
