Job Summary

PROMESA R.H.C.F. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of municipal violations within our affordable housing division.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Investigation and Research: Conduct thorough investigations and research on violations issued by city agencies, including HPD, FDNY, DOB, ECB, DOMH, and DEP.
  2. Tracking and Maintenance: Maintain and track repair and removal progress of affordable housing portfolio-wide violations, ensuring timely completion and compliance with code requirements.
  3. Close-out Processes: Manage close-out processes used by specific agencies for violations, including preparing periodic internal reports to monitor timelines for completion.
  4. Inspections and Compliance: Track required inspections and local law requirements, such as façade, sprinkler, backflow preventers, boiler, fire extinguishers, and standpipes, to ensure timely completion and compliance with code requirements.
  5. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor open violations through Site Comply and utilize additional tracking platforms, such as Yardi, NYCHA, HPD, HCR, and Housing Quality Standards (HQS) portals.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; college experience a plus.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience; administrative background preferred.
  • Background: Previous experience in Affordable Housing programs (HUD, Section 8, LIHTC) preferred; experience working in Property Management with a focus on facilities compliance preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency using Site Comply; managing complaints and violation removal in NYC a plus; strong organization and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Licensed notary a plus.
