We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Grand Traverse Container, Inc. in Grand Rapids. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to machine and system failures, troubleshoot, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment and components, including balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, and more.
  • Work effectively with automation devices, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Work overtime as required and lift up to 40lbs.
  • Stand, bend, or kneel for long periods of time.
Requirements:
  • Previous repair and maintenance experience, with a focus on machine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and other automation devices.
  • Ability to read prints, sketches, and use them to direct fabrication or repair.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
