Job Summary

The Senior Crane Technician will be responsible for providing quality installation, inspections, maintenance, and repair services for hoist and crane equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality installations of overhead crane systems and hoists.
  • Conduct OSHA equivalent inspections, documenting and completing warranty work, and troubleshooting breakdowns.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
  • Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
  • Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
  • Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
  • Responsible for company equipment, including company vehicle(s) and tools.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years' experience troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
  • Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
  • Associate's degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, preferred.
  • Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations.
  • Ability to perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner.
  • Communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Quality and results-driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
  • Required to use own hand tools and meter.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
