The Manager must guarantee that all team members are certified and adequately prepared to respond to emergencies.

The Aquatic Facility Manager collaborates closely with recreation personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruit, train, and oversee lifeguards, pool attendants, and maintenance staff.
2. Schedule staff shifts and ensure sufficient coverage during operational hours.
3. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to uphold safety protocols and operational standards.
4. Promote a positive and professional work atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and high service standards.
5. Assess staff performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching as necessary.
6. Regularly test pool water to monitor chemical levels, including pH, chlorine, and alkalinity.
7. Adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain a safe and healthy swimming environment.
8. Maintain detailed records of chemical testing and adjustments.
9. Ensure compliance with local health regulations and industry standards for pool water quality.
10. Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the pool, pool house, and surrounding grounds.
11. Ensure the proper functioning of pool pumps, filters, and heating systems.
12. Address maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure a safe environment for patrons.
13. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all pool equipment.
14. Greet and assist pool patrons, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
15. Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all users.
16. Plan and coordinate pool events, swim lessons, and other recreational activities, ensuring they are well-publicized.
17. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
18. Oversee accurate daily financial transactions and deposits.
19. Organize and manage home swim meets.
20. Identify trends and opportunities for enhanced profitability.
21. Coordinate special events at the pool.
22. Prepare the pool for seasonal dome removal and replacement.

Education and Experience:
1. Valid Driver's License.
2. Proven experience in pool management.
3. Strong knowledge of pool chemistry and maintenance procedures.
4. Certifications from the American Red Cross (LG, WSI, LGT, WSIT, First Aid, AED/CPR).
5. Pool Operator certification.

Physical Requirements:
The aquatic facility is a valuable community asset and operates year-round.

The Manager will work in various seasonal conditions, including heat, sun, rain, and occasional outdoor maintenance during winter.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
