Gables Search Group is in search of a Maintenance Manager to lead a facility's maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee maintenance functions across various departments, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and cost management.
  • Manage Central Shops, including Machine, Truck Repair, and Roll Shops, ensuring operational effectiveness and goal compliance.
  • Supervise a diverse team comprising around 10 salaried professionals and 100 hourly employees, facilitating their development and support.
  • Promote environmental, health, and safety initiatives while implementing cost-saving strategies within the maintenance division.
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans aimed at departmental enhancement and growth.
  • Set and evaluate annual objectives and performance metrics to monitor advancement.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and ongoing improvement.
  • Establish strong partnerships with colleagues and leadership to ensure alignment of departmental aims with broader business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams to meet performance targets and achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Finance, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience managing substantial budgets and leading union negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
