The Payroll Specialist is responsible for collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
- Transaction Efficiency: Ensure all payroll transactions are processed smoothly and accurately.
- Summary Compilation: Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages for reporting purposes.
- Liability Calculation: Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income taxes, social security taxes, and other employer-related payments.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies that arise.
- Operational Maintenance: Maintain payroll operations by adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Reporting Development: Create ad hoc financial and operational reports as necessary.
