Position Overview:

The Mobile MRI Technologist is responsible for traveling with the mobile MRI unit and supporting healthcare professionals in executing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This includes preparing patients and proficiently operating MRI machinery to capture high-quality diagnostic images.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate Degree is preferred. Completion of an ARRT-approved Radiography or MRI Program is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in MRI is essential.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Must be certified and registered by ARRT in MR RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR).
    • IV Credentialing is required.
    • Must possess the applicable state license.
  • Essential Skills: Comprehensive understanding of MRI safety protocols, including knowledge of medical implants and general magnet safety. Ensure patient safety through thorough pre-screening. Maintain effective communication with patients and radiologists. Ability to troubleshoot MRI equipment and related peripherals to ensure the highest quality imaging. May be required to mentor new technologists and Radiology Operations Assistants. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, and travel is a regular part of the role. Proficient knowledge of MRI imaging technology, analytical skills, and basic computer proficiency are required. Must be able to interpret information to meet each patient's specific care needs. Strong communication skills are essential.
