Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile MRI Technologist to join our team at Novant Health. As a Mobile MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for traveling with our mobile MR truck and assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for diagnostic scans and safely operate the MR equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with customers and radiologists to ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment to ensure high-quality MRI studies.
  • Train and mentor new technologists and Radiology Operations Assistants.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in MR, required.
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in MR – RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • IV Credentialed, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Well-versed in MRI safety issues, including medical prosthetics and implants.
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment and analytical ability.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to interpret information to identify patient requirements.
