About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Processing Assistant to join our team at Brown & Brown Insurance. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our brokers and account executives in evaluating and classifying risks for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze insurance applications, inspections, and other pertinent information to determine the degree of risk from various factors such as applicant financial standing, age, occupation, accident experience, and value and condition of property.
- Work closely with brokers and account executives to review risks submitted by producers, rate submissions for premium and terms, and issue written binders.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of indications, quotes, binders, submissions, and policies.
- Order inspections and identify the different types of policies and common information to request from inspection companies.
- Collaborate with brokers and account executives to ensure that all required information is obtained, proper applications are completed, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made, and taxes paid in accordance with appropriate state laws.
- Provide exceptional telephone assistance to producers, answering basic questions and referring more complex inquiries to underwriters.
Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to learn multiple computer systems for processing information.
- Exceptional telephone demeanor.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism.
