The Nursing & Clinical Support Services Department plays a crucial role in safeguarding the health of our students, offering clinical assistance through skilled nursing practices. Our team collaborates with various departments to implement innovative strategies that enhance the mental, emotional, and physical health of our diverse population.

Position Overview:
The Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) is integral to our clinical team, providing essential support by preparing patients for appointments, assisting during examinations, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding patients on specimen collection and performing diagnostic tests such as ECG and Spirometry.
  • Administering treatments including nebulizer therapy, wound care, and immunizations.
  • Conducting basic assessments such as eye and hearing tests.
  • Dispensing medications and providing discharge instructions to patients.
  • Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

  • CPR-BLS certification required within the first year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in college health or with diverse patient populations.
  • Proficiency in additional languages.
