Join our nationally recognized academic health system and work in a level 1 trauma center. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during Inpatient Procedures.


Responsibilities:
  • Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists, providing an opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
  • Use medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plans, ensuring peri-operative and anesthesia care while being sensitive to co-morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
  • Collaborate with medical teams when needed for effective team-based care, upholding patient safety, driving quality improvement, and promoting infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
  • Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
  • Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.

Requirements:
  • Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master's Degree or Higher Required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing + Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board.
  • Current CPR Certification ACLS, BLS.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
