We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at American Water. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain safe and efficient operation of all Wastewater Treatment Plant equipment
- Perform physical rounds of the plant to identify potential problems and complete assigned work orders
- Operate equipment used to thicken and dewater sludge going to and drawn from anaerobic digesters
- Monitor plant process functions using GE and PI software
- Report malfunctioning equipment and initiate maintenance requests
- Engage in training activities to increase knowledge of wastewater treatment plant equipment and processes
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License required
- PA DEP A-1 Wastewater Operator license preferred or ability to obtain
- Pass a background check, including a drug test and motor vehicle check
