About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Apple Services Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating large-scale, distributed systems that power Apple's services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain scalable search infrastructure using Solr, Kafka, and ElasticSearch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define metrics, set targets, and optimize system performance
  • Design and implement automation tools to streamline system management and reduce downtime
  • Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve production issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field
Requirements
  • Proficient in modern Java and Python programming languages
  • Experience with scalable search platforms and distributed systems
  • Strong production debugging and performance tuning skills
  • Deep understanding of Linux operating system and standard UNIX utilities
  • Experience with EC2, EBS, and Terraform is a plus
