The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective operation of the manufacturing department, ensuring quality and quantity of work, safety, and meeting schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review production reports and time sheets to optimize departmental performance
  • Assign employees to machines and tasks to achieve schedules and meet production targets
  • Manage administrative paperwork, including time off requests, absentee reports, and shift changes
  • Provide training in department procedures, machine operation, and other tasks to ensure employee competence
  • Lead Continious Improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and productivity
  • Evaluate employee performance on a scheduled basis and take disciplinary action when necessary
  • Maintain a safe and injury-free work environment in the department
  • Interview, evaluate, and recommend candidates for job openings and participate in determining employee selection
  • Coordinate production with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years of previous supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Strong leadership and mechanical aptitude skills
  • Experience with thermoforming processes is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and ERP systems
