Key Responsibilities
  • Architectural Leadership: Provide technical leadership and vision for the design, development, and deployment of data solutions that meet business requirements and drive strategic business outcomes.
  • Data Strategy: Champion data strategy across the organization, working with business users and data teams to design, document, review, and negotiate solutions that align with strategic business and technology goals.
  • Technical Roadmap: Develop and implement a technical roadmap for the continuous improvement of the data platform, encompassing tech stack upgrades, cost optimization, and compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team responsible for the operational excellence of the data platform, including change management, SDLC, and CI/CD.
  • Technology Research: Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery.
  • Integration Strategies: Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies.
  • Governance: Provides governance and oversight as a senior member of the Architecture Review Board.
  • Industry Trends: Staying on top of the industry trends and new technologies for our given system architecture.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
  • Experience: 8+ years IT experience in system design & integration.
  • Expertise: Experience building and deploying analytic solutions that drive business impact for Sales and Marketing organizations in enterprise settings.
  • Cloud Computing: Deep understanding of public cloud computing providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc), and how to leverage these technologies to build and maintain high-performance data and analytics solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex data insights to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Agile Environment: Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced, agile work environment.
  • Decision-Making: Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to make quick and informed decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • CI/CD: Experience working in large teams using CI/CD practices to automate the development and deployment of software.
  • Data Integration: Expertise in Data Integration & Analytic Methodologies, and Data Modeling.
  • Programming Skills: Strong knowledge of REST API design, Python, PySpark.
  • Microservices: Working knowledge of Microservices and working with data in relational & No-SQL databases, caching strategies, etc.
  • Security and Disaster Recovery: Progressive experience in new technology, programming, application analysis, and security/disaster recovery.
  • Systems Implementation: Knowledge of the process and concepts involved in systems implementations, including conceptual design, work process evaluation, cost assessment for development and implementation.
  • Agile Methodologies: Must have previous Agile, Scrum or SAFe experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: MS degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
  • Industry Knowledge: Insurance Industry knowledge.
