Job Summary:

Viterra is seeking a highly skilled IT Engineer to join our team. As an IT Engineer, you will apply your knowledge of information and computing to design, develop, test, and deploy new and improved technology solutions. You will partner with architects to establish technology standards and roadmaps, and with business analysts to understand business needs. Your focus will be on effective solution delivery, with a emphasis on design and verification, and overseeing technology contributions from internal and external resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and/or business analysts to analyze and understand the organization's information technology needs.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy technology solutions to satisfy identified needs.
  • Partner with business analysts and architects to evaluate trade-offs between in-house, vended, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with the technology roadmap and standards (technology, security, quality).
  • Create process flowcharts, diagrams, technical workflows, and other related design documentation.
  • Create the actual technical solution, for example programming, configuration, data delivery, etc.
  • Verify that the solution (in-house, vended, service-based) satisfies both the functional and non-functional requirements, accomplished through planning and executing tests, and through reviewing delivery lifecycle documents.
  • The role may specialize by function (design, test, etc.), or by technology solution (integration, data, application, etc.).
  • This particular position has the following specialized responsibilities: Identity and Access Management design, development, and technical support; Systems programming using Java, JavaScript, Python, and PowerShell; Development and administration using EntraID, LDAP, and Active Directory; Privileged Access Management (PAM) design, development, and technical support; Identity synchronization using Entra Connect or Quest tools; Administration of IBM Security Verify suite.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years IT experience, with mastery in the following domains: Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux management; Solid understanding of identity management tools and identity system integrations.
  • Preference for breadth of IT domains, technologies, and roles.
  • Ability to document and effectively communicate complex technical subject matter.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex technical solutions.
  • Leadership, negotiation, and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High sense of urgency and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
