About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer or Physicist to join our team at MITRE, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to solving complex problems for a safer world. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in wireless communications, signal processing, and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed modeling and simulation of communications and sensor systems
  • Develop techniques to detect, locate, and identify signals
  • Prototyping waveforms or algorithms in software-defined radios and other systems
  • Testing and evaluating leading-edge hardware in PNT, both in the lab and in the field
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or other modeling and data analysis software tools
  • Strong technical background with experience in technologies related to PNT
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret or higher clearance
  • Willingness to learn new tools to work on emerging concepts and technologies
Benefits
