**Key Responsibilities**: **Capital Projects**: Support the execution of growth initiatives and technology upgrades, including project assistance, process documentation, and training for new equipment. **Engineering Standards**: Develop and implement new engineering standards and innovative uses of existing technologies. **Process Rationalization**: Conduct analyses to support product and process rationalization, including benchmarking and cost comparisons. Design and implement improvements that enhance safety and efficiency. **Tooling Development**: Design and create tooling and gauging necessary for manufacturing processes. **Team Guidance**: Provide clear instructions to engineering teams and ensure accuracy in their work. **Standards Compliance**: Adhere to and develop plant standards and procedures to align with corporate quality requirements. **Project Management**: Utilize effective project management methodologies to ensure timely completion of initiatives. **Continuous Improvement**: Offer technical support for projects aimed at increasing throughput, enhancing quality, and reducing costs. **Collaboration**: Coordinate efforts with other managers and external vendors as necessary.
**Qualifications**: Proven project management skills. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to make informed recommendations based on technical analysis. Experience working with cross-functional teams. A passion for manufacturing environments. Proficiency in CAD software for tooling and equipment design.
**Minimum Requirements**: Broad familiarity with manufacturing processes, with a preference for belt and rubber knowledge. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO-9001. Leadership experience in a management role.
