Child Abuse Prevention Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Child Abuse Prevention Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of the Safe Environment Program. This role requires a strong understanding of child abuse prevention and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to Archdiocesan entities to implement abuse prevention policies.
  • Conduct trainings and presentations related to abuse prevention and promote a culture of safety and respect.
  • Manage internal databases, gather data, and complete reports to inform program evaluation and improvement.
  • Assist with program evaluation and monitoring to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Represent the organization to the public in a professional manner, promoting the mission and values of the Archdiocese.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Working knowledge of and comfort with Catholic faith and parish life is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop plans of action to correct them.
  • Ability to organize work, multitask, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
Working Conditions:

This position is expected to be carried out Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some evenings and weekends as needed.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tool or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 30lbs.
