Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Detailing: Create precise and detailed drawings for structural steel components, including beams, columns, supports, and custom steel fabrications.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all steel details align with project specifications and requirements.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, and review and verify drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and identify any potential issues before fabrication.
  • Documentation and Communication: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including shop drawings, erection plans, and material lists, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a steel detailer with a strong portfolio of structural steel projects.
  • Proficiency in detailing software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication processes, codes, and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers.
  • Relevant certification or degree in drafting, structural engineering, or a related field is preferred.
