We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Welder responsible for laying out and welding structural steel to construct metal structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, blueprint interpretation, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weld and cut black carbon and galvanized steel.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
  • Operate hand tools, grinders, and basic shop machinery.
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 6S standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/32".
  • Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in lbs., ft., inch).
  • Experience with operating vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment.
  • Ability to pass 3G/4G MIG welding tests.
  • Strong experience in Flux-core and MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent welding experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.
  • Basic computer proficiency in a Windows environment (navigation, saving, printing).
  • Train and mentor new welders as part of job duties.
