Park State Bank is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to join their finance team. This role will involve ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, as well as providing support for regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and internal bank-controlled deposit accounts in a timely manner
  • Review daily GL to GL transactions for FDICIA requirements and resolve balancing issues promptly
  • Serve as backup for the Accounts Payable function and assist with preparation of quarterly call reports and annual summary of deposits
  • Assist with timely and accurate completion of other bank regulatory reports, including state and federal tax returns and 1099s
  • Reconcile bond portfolio and interest rate hedges and prepare daily and monthly public entity pledging reports
  • Work with Bond Portfolio Manager and Payment Operations Department on trade activity to ensure entries are made timely and all supporting documents are received
  • Reconcile investor servicing portfolios to ensure data accuracy and complete monthly reporting as required by investors
  • Collaborate with system support and other departments to solve system-related issues
  • Assist with departmental processes and procedures and monitor general ledger for potential accounting misstatements or errors
  • Promptly report any identified material errors or suspicious activity to the Controller and monitor through to resolution
  • Perform special projects as assigned, including research, system problem resolution, analysis, tracking, and reporting
  • Assist with preparation and gathering of information for audits and regulatory or other examinations
  • Adhere to financial and accounting related internal controls in accordance with FDICIA requirements and recommend cost control measures and revenue enhancement measures

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Cross train in other positions within the Accounting / Finance Department as directed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of accounting experience or 2+ years accounting related experience, preferably in the financial services industry or accounts payable

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance from a two or four-year college or university or equivalent work experience

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
