Key Responsibilities of the Patient Care Technician:
At HealthTronics, you will enjoy the independence of managing medical equipment and supplies while directly assisting in patient treatments under the supervision of experienced Urologists. Your role involves traveling to various healthcare facilities to provide your expertise in surgical settings. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, offering a rewarding career path focused on patient safety and quality care.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting urologists during procedures by adhering to sterile techniques and ensuring a safe environment for patients
- Preparing sterile surgical supplies for necessary cases
- Ensuring the availability of equipment required for patient care during procedures
- Monitoring and restocking supplies for scheduled procedures
- Ordering both sterile and non-sterile supplies for facilities
- Coordinating supply needs across sites and sharing inventory as needed
- Maintaining current inventory levels; tracking orders and resolving issues
Qualifications for the Patient Care & Supply Technician Position:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a customer service-oriented role
- Preferred experience in patient care or operating room settings
- Must meet credentialing requirements established by healthcare facilities, including vaccination requirements
- Obtain and maintain necessary certifications and licenses as required by law
- Maintain current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license required
- Moderate computer skills necessary
