Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Health & Human Services Comm. As a Motor Vehicle Technician II, you will be responsible for performing skilled mechanical work in one or more areas of vehicle repairs, including exchanging/rebuilding engines, carburetors, transmissions, air and air hydraulic brakes, and similar assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine jobs independently or assist in more complex jobs under close supervision
  • Conduct fundamental diagnostic electrical and cooling system repairs
  • Install or repair accessories to equipment and vehicles
  • Perform preventive maintenance schedules and routine service work on automotive and related gasoline and diesel engines powered equipment
  • Work in accordance with standard trade practices and departmental procedures
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or a GED
  • Experience in automotive maintenance
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Schedules
  • Valid Driver's License and eligible driving record
