We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sanitation Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our plant and grounds. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and operational for the next production run.
- Operate and maintain sanitation cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and steam cleaners.
- Conduct daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
- Monitor and maintain accurate cleaning records, adhering to SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve positive sanitation results and exceed customer expectations.
- Participate in on-the-job training and assist in training activities to support the manufacturing process.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing or a light industrial environment is preferred.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Sanitation experience in food manufacturing, food safety, or industrial truck experience is an asset.
- Weekends and holidays may be required.
