Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for the Salem Power Uprate Project. Your expertise will be crucial in determining solutions and managing resources to prepare design deliverables.

Job Responsibilities
  • Qualify for and fulfill the Lead Responsible Engineer role for power uprate plant modifications and be accountable for the design cradle to grave.
  • Establish modification scope, system performance requirements, and all testing requirements.
  • Perform Owners Acceptance Reviews for design analysis, modification packages, procurement, and specifications in accordance with plant procedures.
  • Manage technical supplier teams with respect to cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Schedule and coordinate Engineering and station department resources to deliver and install required design change packages.
  • Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.
  • Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation, and any required supporting analysis.
  • Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager.
  • Assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Controls, or related Engineering or related technical degree with 5 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Availability for shift work during installation.
  • Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Desired Qualifications
  • Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR).
  • Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification.
  • Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state).
