Position Summary

This role operates under the supervision of the Park PPMM Supervisor, focusing on the inspection, construction, renovation, and repair of park facilities and infrastructure. Responsibilities also encompass grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks as necessary. Key duties include managing work orders, maintaining inspection and repair records, and completing essential documentation. This position involves the upkeep of roads, trails, structures, and equipment, alongside repairs in various trade fields such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting, while participating in a preventative maintenance program.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities, which may involve tasks such as replacing light bulbs, lubricating pumps, cleaning filters, and inspecting gauges.
  • Perform basic repairs in trade areas, including plumbing, painting, and carpentry, as well as installing materials and repairing fixtures.
  • Assist with machinery and equipment repairs.
  • Support groundkeeping efforts, including snow and ice removal, grass cutting, and waste management.
  • Collaborate with technical supervisors on plumbing and building repairs, and assist in the operation of treatment and disposal facilities when needed.
  • Operate machinery and vehicles for transporting tools, equipment, and materials, while aiding in the maintenance and servicing of said equipment.
  • May engage in highway lighting or drawbridge maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Understanding of operating and maintaining various equipment and tools used in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Experience performing work across multiple trade fields.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Employment Conditions

A satisfactory criminal background check is required for employment. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The organization participates in the Federal E-Verify system to confirm work authorization.
