Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Helicopter Pilot to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Helicopter Pilot, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments related to the conveyance of patients in need of emergency services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute flight assignments, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-flight briefings with medical, communications, and ground personnel to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
  • Supervise and assist with the loading and distribution of cargo and passengers, ensuring weight and balance limitations are met.
  • Ensure proper completion of flight logs, records, and maintenance forms.
  • Participate in post-flight debriefings to review and improve flight operations.
  • Maintain proficiency as Pilot-in-Command and stay up-to-date with the latest aviation regulations and procedures.
Requirements
  • FAA commercial pilot with an instrument rating.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • Certified Airline Transport Pilot.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a patient care environment, which may involve exposure to infectious diseases and chemical toxins. The pilot will be required to sit for long periods of time in a helicopter or office environment and may be exposed to loud aircraft noise, fumes, gases, odors, dust particles, and mechanical and electrical hazards.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required.
