Board-Certified Anesthesiologist

Catholic Health Services of Long Island is seeking Board-Certified Anesthesiologists to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital, a community-based hospital located in Bethpage, NY.

As a member of our physician network, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services, including metabolic and bariatric surgery, breast surgery, colon and rectal surgery, urology, neurosurgery, and oncology surgical specialties.
• Conduct pre-operative anesthesia evaluations, intraoperative anesthesia management, and post-operative anesthesia assessments and pain management for patients.
• Direct and supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and assist them in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
• Participate in on-call services and contribute to the provision of anesthesia care in the operating room and post-anesthesia care unit.
• Participate in the CH Graduate Medical Education Program and other academic programs affiliated with CH, by mentoring, supervising, and teaching residents, medical students, and other healthcare students.
• Coordinate with the nursing and surgical staff to ensure efficient daily operating room schedules.

Requirements:

• MD/DO degree with a full, active, and unrestricted license in NYS.
• Board-Certified Physicians with 5 or more years of experience preferred.
• Ability to manage CRNAs.
