Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Answering Customer Calls: Respond to incoming customer calls in a timely and professional manner, providing quick, accurate, and courteous service.
  • Account Information Management: Obtain and enter accurate account information from technicians and customers into our automation system.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform system checks on equipment, recognize and correct minor equipment problems, and report concerns and issues to the relevant teams.
  • Training and Development: Participate in regular training sessions, emergency generator testing, and Central Station Alarm Association training and certification.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Licensure: Must obtain and maintain all initial and ongoing licensures by meeting state and federal requirements.
  • Core Values: Must adhere to Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association's core values of Teamwork, Dependability, Performance, Integrity, Safety, and Member/Customer Focus.
Working Conditions

The Dispatch Specialist will work primarily in a climate-controlled office environment, with the ability to perform finger and hand manipulation and repetitive motions to use office equipment. The ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force when moving items such as computer printouts, notebook ledgers, and office equipment is also required.

The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to work a 10-hour rotating shift, including weekends and holidays, and be open to helping with shift coverage as needed.
