Veterinarian for Community Medicine

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team, dedicated to providing expert care to animals and their people through our stationary and mobile clinics.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian to work with our team, serving communities in need, while enjoying a great work-life balance. Our veterinarians provide essential services to pets and rescue animals, including preventive and basic care, surgical procedures, and humane euthanasia, all while focusing on compassion, quality, and dignity.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work effectively with clients, and prioritize patient care. As a member of our team, you will receive mentorship and training in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment recommendations, and prescriptions
- Perform surgical procedures, including 25-40 high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries per clinic day
- Triage and refer cases that do not fall within our parameters of care
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing discharge instructions and counseling on end-of-life and sensitive medical concerns
- Current California State veterinary license; new graduates welcome
- Fear Free Veterinary certification required within 60 days of hire
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
- A competitive salary range of $148,000 - $156,000
