We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in Construction Engineering to join our team at Degenkolb Engineers. As a key member of our Construction Engineering Practice Area, you will leverage our core Structural Engineering expertise to assist industry-leading contractors with complex construction projects on the West Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with contractors to develop and implement structural solutions for large-scale construction projects.
  • Lead the development and growth of our Construction Engineering Practice in our Los Angeles/Orange County regional offices.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, and collaborate effectively with project team members.
  • Participate in business development strategies to leverage professional networks and generate new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required (Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred).
  • 8-12 years relevant work experience with a stable history (Construction Means and Methods Engineering experience is preferred).
  • California Civil Engineering license and registration as a Structural Engineer in California required.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor staff, and to collaborate effectively with contractors and other project team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Revit and Tekla families of software.
  • Active participation in professional or client-based activities.
