Average Hourly Wage: $28/hr

With a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, technicians at Multi-Comm Inc. are responsible for installing cable television, high-speed internet, and digital telephone services. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on customer interaction and are enthusiastic team players with high standards.
Position Summary:
Construction Field Technicians engage in physically demanding tasks at various job sites. Responsibilities may include operating a range of hand and power tools, preparing sites, digging trenches, and managing debris and waste materials. Technicians may also assist fellow team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executing various physically intensive tasks at job sites, including surface preparation for paving
- Utilizing tools for shoveling dirt, asphalt, and concrete, as well as trenching machinery
- Assisting in asphalt patching and trench excavation
- Maintaining cleanliness at job sites by securing tools and equipment daily
- Clearing clogged conduits and repairing damaged ones
- Handling and storing construction materials
- Loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials as needed
- Running advanced aerial drops (Coax) when required
- Pulling coax/cat5 lines through conduits
- Installing coax/cat5 lines in confined spaces (such as crawl spaces and attics)
- Terminating coax/cat5 lines
- Implementing proper traffic control when necessary
- Adhering to safety and incident reporting protocols; communicating issues to management
- Performing other duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications:
- Valid state driver's license required (DMV records will be verified)
- Availability to work weekends
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Personal vehicle (truck, van, or SUV) capable of carrying a 28 ft extension ladder and necessary tools
- Must maintain valid vehicle insurance and registration
- Ability to perform manual labor following both verbal and written instructions
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and equipment
- Understanding of first aid and safety precautions
- Ability to work independently and adhere to daily schedules
- Capacity to lift heavy objects and endure long periods of physical activity
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in the safe use of tools and equipment
- Ability to understand and relay instructions accurately
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams
- Strong time management skills

- Accurate completion of work orders and reports

Compensation: $16.78/hr plus weekly incentives and mileage reimbursement. The average hourly rate for technicians, including incentives, is approximately $28/hr.
Required License: Driver's License
Upon successful completion of the initial PAID TRAINING CLASS, participants will receive all necessary tools for the role.
