As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of electrical control systems and machinery related to production and facility operations.
Your role will involve acting as a key technical resource for various departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing operational efficiency through modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will oversee the research, design, and enhancement of manufacturing equipment and utility systems, focusing on improving equipment performance and preventing obsolescence.
Additionally, you will ensure that all systems and equipment maintain a validated state and comply with applicable regulations.
Compensation: Salary range of $73,614 - $103,528, plus an annual bonus of 6%.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control systems architecture, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
- Maintain systems in a validated state through regular calibration, maintenance, and updates.
- Identify and implement enhancements for operational efficiency and safety.
- Assist with capital improvement projects, including documentation and compliance requirements.
- Upgrade and rebuild utility systems and production equipment related to various operational areas.
- Foster relationships with vendors for technical support and hardware applications.
- Supervise a small team as needed.
- If designated, act as the Energy Management Representative, focusing on energy efficiency and management system improvements.
- Conduct energy audits and analyses to identify conservation opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of The National Electric Code, high voltage systems, and machine controls.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and ladder logic.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and effective communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to lead electrical staff.
