We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Surgery APP to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiac surgery program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our program.
Responsibilities- Assist in a variety of cardiac surgical procedures in the OR, perform endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting, cover floor and ICU patients, and perform bedside procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes/pigtail placements.
- Work collaboratively with our cardiac surgeons to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
- Participate in the development and implementation of our cardiac surgery program, including quality improvement initiatives and educational programs.
- Contribute to the education and training of our residents and medical students.
- NYS licensure
- DEA certification
- ACLS/BLS
- Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac surgery/OR/proficiency with EVH/ERAH preferred
- Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program
- Board Certification
