Job Title: Registered Nurse - Surgical Oncology

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our GYN Oncology Surgery Practice at the Helen F. Graham Center in Newark, DE.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our GYN Oncology Surgery Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging patients, assessing their needs, and routing them within the clinic based on severity and urgency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to GYN oncology surgical patients
  • Evaluate patient information and obtain additional data as needed
  • Determine patient severity and immediate needs
  • Confer with physicians regarding patient care and treatment
  • Initiate and individualize patient plans of care
  • Evaluate patient response and outcome
  • Manage patient medication administration safely and effectively
  • Track and follow up on testing results
  • Maintain communication between patients and physicians
  • Delegate duties and tasks to other staff members
  • Provide nursing intervention in patient crisis situations
  • Maintain required credentials and certifications
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide customer service to patients, families, and staff
Requirements:
  • BSN required; ADN with commitment to obtaining BSN within 3 years may be considered
  • Two years' experience as a RN; physician office experience preferred
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware
  • BCLS certification
  • OCN preferred
