Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Lead to join our team. As a Lead Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, while also leading and mentoring our care team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide supervisory support to care team members, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and services.
- Support care team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents, including bathing, grooming, and personal care.
- Encourage resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs, promoting a sense of community and engagement.
- Assist with meal service in the dining room, ensuring that residents receive a positive dining experience.
- Accurately document care and services provided to residents, reviewing and coaching care team members as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies, monitoring team member break schedules and clocking in/out procedures.
- Display flexibility in work schedule, working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed.
- Prepare for shifts by obtaining resident group assignments and distributing daily assignment sheets to care team members.
- Participate in crossover meetings, sharing and receiving pertinent information with other Lead Care Managers.
- High School diploma or GED strongly preferred and may be required per state regulations.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with care team members, community managers, residents, and family members.
- In states where applicable, must maintain applicable certifications.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Medication Management Certificate required; ongoing training and re-education per Sunrise and state requirements.
- Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors.
- Demonstrates leadership competencies, including the ability to delegate assignments and make choices in the best interest of residents.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, competent in organizational and time management skills, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Competent in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications, with the ability to learn new applications.
